I had to give them 5 stars .. I had a good experience , here and we stumbled across this place only beacus the bbq chicken spot was close .. when you walk in they do charge 5 dollars to use the bathroom but I get it if your not ordering food .. it gets busy on 32 street and ppl get drunk. BACK TO THE FOOD !!! I had fried rice and spicy garlic chicken, my friend had black bean noddle and Sesame chicken. Everything was fresh and hot. Service was good . And tip is included in the bill.

A well advertised SOJU bar is what I would call this place. Situated in K-town, Shanghai Mong was empty and we were skeptical on this place. The service was good and the menu was huge and a little overwhelming. Our order: Veggie DUmplings Garlic Shrimp Jjampong Soondubu Kimchi friend rice Bi Bim Bap Bokum Jjamppong Watermelon/Peach SOJU Loved their spice levels and that made the Kimchi fried-rice very good. Dumplings were perfect. The Jjamppong and Bi Bim Bap were they highlight of the order. The quantity was large and filling. The best part were the SOJU. It is the GOOD DAY SOJU and we loved the Peach, Lychee and watermelon soju. They should emphasize more on Sojus.

I visited Shanghai Mong in Koreatown last Saturday and had a good experience. We tried a variety of dishes, including kimchi fried rice, vegetarian bimbimbap, mussels, and some noodles. Out of everything, the kimchi fried rice stood out as my favorite--it was absolutely delicious. The mussels were also quite good, though I found the bibimbap to be less impressive in comparison to the kimchi fried rice. The soju drinks were fantastic, and I had the chance to try different flavors like peach, watermelon, and mango. The mango soju was my favorite. The restaurant provided a pleasant dining experience with clean restrooms and good service. Overall, we had a fun time at Shanghai Mong, and I would recommend it for anyone looking to enjoy some tasty Korean dishes and great soju.

I love this spot, even though I get the same thing everytime: the black bean noodle duo with the sweet and sour pork. It's the perfect variety meal for a black bean noodle lover. Staff is kind though food can take a little while to come out. Interior is eccentric with lights and music.
